July Favorites!

It’s that time, folks…where did July go? I feel like it just started. Time is seriously flying and that’s probably because I have just been super, super busy this entire month! I have a few favorites to talk to you about today and they are the following categories: Makeup, Events, Wine, and Jewelry.

First off we have Makeup because there’s TWO items this month…

MAC Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation (Broad Spectrum)
I am in the shade 1.0 (go figure)

I am seriously loving this product and actually have been ever since I purchased it back in May. It reduces shine and absorbs oil without leaving an ashy or chalky finish. It has a demi-matte, medium finish that’s extremely buildable. I have used it every single day that I’ve put on makeup (on average three times a week) and I have had no breakouts or bad results. Actually, I think my skin is clearing up now that I switched to this product.

My next makeup product that I have been OBBSESSED with for quite some time now, but especially the past few weeks…

They’re Real! Mascara by Benefit.

This mascara is perfect! It lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts & separates. Everything you could possibly want. Make sure you are using the “wiggle” technique wiggling the brush from the base to the tip of your lashes. I’ve tried a million drugstore mascaras as well as a million (ok, seriously not a million but pretty damn close) high end mascaras and this is my all-time favorite, go to mascara. I find myself reaching for this more than any other one I own.

My third favorite goes into the category of events, can you guess what it is?

MY ENGAGEMENT!

I’m still, obviously, super excited and happy about this event. Rory, my fiancé, proposed on 7/4/2014 at our favorite vineyards/winery in Michigan. I’ve gone into all the details in other posts so I won’t elaborate too much but it was pretty and perfect and he’s the best.

Fourth favorite of the month goes to:

 an incredibly tasty wine from 12 Corners, their Traminette.

This is a semi-dry with floral and spice notes. It is so smooth! We will be re-purchasing when we go back. Its alcohol percentage is 13.3% and the residual sugar is 1.9%

My engagement ring, duh. ;)

Rory did an amazing job picking it out with no help from me other than the fact I said NO YELLOW GOLD. It just isn’t my thing. This favorite will be a favorite for many, many years to come.
