Saturday Morning Tea #2

Welcome to the second installment of my Saturday Morning Tea series! The first one was a huge hit and had the most views in a day than any other post, so I'm hoping you all enjoy this! My tea of choice for this morning:
Asian Jasmine White Tea from The Republic of Tea.

My week started off HORRID but ended WONDERFULLY! Sunday Rory and I went to church, it was an outdoors service and there was a potluck following the sermon. I forgot to bake a dessert (oops!) so we stopped and bought a  cookie cake on the way. After all of that we went and
picked sweet corn! That was actually really fun despite the bugs and treacherous terrain (I'm kidding, though it was rocky and my shoes were hating me for it). On our way home Rory stopped to pick me some wildflowers too.

Monday should have been an easy day. I was going to a clients house to cook her and her husband a meal. However, it quickly turned into the day from hell. I won't bore you with the re-cap but you can read all about it right here if
you are curious. Let's just say I was in tears by the time I got to leave the client's house. It was a bad, bad day.

Tuesday I was able to bring an elderly woman to her doctor's appointment. She was the sweetest thing. She told me she lives with one of the men in the old cowboy Marlboro ad's. Lucky her!

Wednesday I went and did a companionship type of care for another woman and then got her groceries. It was all about meeting new clients this week!

Thursday, Rory took his last vacation day from Estes, he is quitting there next week. He received a job offer for a better place with a pay raise and it's also closer to home. Right now he drives about 45 miles a day. This new job it will be 10 miles a day. Plus, the shop he works for right now
is pathetic and full of losers and the management has NO idea what they are doing. Rory and I went down to Rachel's (his sister) house and we helped make and can salsa! She's turned into quite the canning queen and I made Jalapeno salsa and she made another type. They smelled delicious! It was a lot of fun learning all about the canning process. I would like to do it again sometime. She is growing all of her own veggies and things of the sort for the first time this year so I'm sure next year we will be able to help more.

Friday was yesterday and it was great! I had been called last week to come in for a job interview for a spot that opened up in my company's office. I interviewed last week and yesterday received the call that they were offering me the position! It's technically called. "Administrative Office Assistant" so I will be doing a lot of paperwork, scheduling and making phone calls. However, I will also be doing the interviewing for new hires and teaching the class they have to take once they are hired. I know I'm really going to enjoy that part especially. I also went shopping with my mom and grandma which is always nice.

So this leads me to today! Today, Saturday, I am meeting my friend for a shopping trip to help her find new clothes for HER new job as an office assistant up in Chicago (so proud of her!) I'm going to help her pick a few things out and actually I am doing a blog post all about this in the near future!

I hope you have all had a fantastic week and it carries over throughout your weekend and into next week! Please leave any comments/questions in the comments!

Until next time,
XO
