Saturday Morning Tea

Hello, hello, hello! It's been quite a week hasn't it? I am starting a brand new series on my blog entitled: "Saturday Morning Tea" these posts will go up every Saturday and will be a reflection on the past week's happenings along with some pictures I have taken throughout the week. I just had this idea last night so I don't have many photos from this week but I've made a mental note to remember to capture things for next week with my camera!

Let's see. I've actually had a relatively slow paced week. I took care of an old patient on Tuesday and had a job interview on Wednesday for a promotion at work that I'll find out more about next week. I accepted some new clients as fill in's for next week to get back to work again since I haven't since before the surgery in June.

Rory and I have been talking lots of wedding this past week. We still aren't 100% sure on the venue that we want. The one that had a lot of sentimental value just might not be up to par by next August. It's only having the very first wedding there this week! The other spot is a vineyard/barn type of location which is beautiful but we haven't actually been able to see it in person yet, only through pictures. Perhaps next weekend we can get back to Michigan to tour the property.

Our engagement party is coming up in the beginning of next month and we are awaiting RSVP's. We only have about 10 back so it's a bit nerve racking. We have to have a final guest count by the 20th so we will have to start making calls and writing e-mails shortly.

I wrote a guest blogging piece for my friend's blog that went up yesterday all about Feminism. There's been so much controversy the past few years over the "F word" and I just wrote an opinion piece about it. If you want to check it out I'll link it below. I've gotten two messages through Facebook about it, one in complete agreement with me on the issue and the other loved the writing and shared some of the same opinions as me and wanted to discuss it in further detail. It was nice getting some genuine feedback on the issue.

Those cute pictures above are as follows: 1. My two "children" Mae, a golden retriever and Rocky, a boxer. They bring joy and frustration to me each day but they are adorable and I couldn't love them any more than I do. 2. Just a sky picture from around 6 am on Wednesday morning. 3.A photo of the floral left overs of my Rose Queen LUSH bath! 4. My cactus that Rory and I bought back in May is really flourishing. I would say how proud I am of myself for keeping it alive but it's a cactus and I guess they can sustain pretty much anything, especially not an abundance of water. :)

My tea of choice today is just a light green tea. I've already forgotten the brand because I got it as a sample in the mail from my Republic of Tea magazine issue. It's simple and delicious, perfect for the morning time!

My week was very lovely. I sincerely hope you've all had just as great a week and will contionute your good fortune over through next week! Any comments or questions/thoughts can be left in the comments below! I would love to hear from you.
